About Us

Femtogrid is a power management technology company and provides solutions for distributed DC systems that improve the performance, reliability and safety of renewable energy installations in the built environment. We engineer smart electronics that together with our 400 Vdc parallel system approach generate up to 30% more energy harvest per installation. As a result, we reduce the payback time of renewable energy installations and decrease the global carbon footprint.

Our focus is on the market for residential and small commercial rooftop (up to 50 kWp) installations. Our Femtogrid Solar System allows system integrators, installers and system owners/end users to benefit from constraint-free roof design, full roof utilization, reduced installation time and total cost of ownership, module-level monitoring, improved safety, theft prevention and more.

Femtogrid was founded in 2010 and is a spin-off of Betronic Solutions BV, an Amsterdam-based electronics engineering company which core competency is power electronics, supplemented with strategic knowledge areas such as control engineering and M2M communication.

Femtogrid operates B2B. From the beginning Femtogrid has built partnerships with system integrators and installers with a focus on the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom. We want to supply our products to these markets working with local parties. Our partners, in turn, sell our products to system owners/end users. Besides this scope Femtogrid is expanding its focus to partnerships with module manufacturers.
