Monitoring

An critical component of our solution is Femtogrid Monitoring. Monitoring to us is the icing on the cake of the PV installation as it presents the performance of the entire PV system. Monitoring builts on two pillars: a Monitoring Box installed close to the Femtogrid Inverter 2400 and our Monitoring Portal.

The Femtogrid PV300 Power Optimizers and the Femtogrid Inverter 2400 contain a ZigBee chip enabling them to communicate about system data. Is the PV system performing in line with its full potential? This system data is transmitted through our datalogger, the Monitoring Box, to a personal website, the Monitoring Portal. Monitoring displays the system output over time.

How does Monitoring look

Femtogrid Monitoring consists of two components: a Monitoring Box and a Monitoring Portal.

The system owner logs into this webpage to see the kWh's generated over time by his own PV system. With Femtogrid Monitoring the energy harvest of individual PV modules can be investigated and expectations can be put to the test. Monitoring is a step forward in terms of making the produced energy tangible and can help shape the perception and, in turn, behaviour of system owners in terms of energy demand and usage.
