Femtogrid®

Femtogrid Energy Solutions is named after its technological innovation: the Femtogrid®. This name combines the words Femto and Grid. Femto (symbol f) is a prefix in the metric system and denotes a factor of 10ˉ¹⁵. It is derived from the Danish word femten, which means 'fifteen'. Grid obviously stands for the electrical grid. As a result, the Femtogrid® focuses on household and/or SME energy demand and follows the smart grid initiative.

The Femtogrid®:

• is a safe-wire 360-400 Vdc bus system for 4 up to 8 kW generation, transport and demand
  
• is especially designed for renewable energy sources
• is plug, play, efficient & safe
• has a stabilizing function
• is geared for E-communication via Ethernet or Zigbee
• is IP protected: the Femtogrid® 091540715.2; "electrical system and method of operating such a system"

How does the Femtogrid® bus system look

 The Femtogrid® is the blueprint for our solutions for renewable energy installations that improves the installation's performance, reliability, safety and applicability. It maximizes power generation for faster return on investment. Our first focus is on PV solar energy. Here, the Femtogrid® forms the backbone of our Femtogrid Solar System.

The Femtogrid Solar System consists of 4 components:

• Power Optimizers per solar panel
• DC cables
• Inverter 2400
• Monitoring

Together with the solar panels and the PV mounting system these four components form a complete PV system, which generates up to 30% more energy harvest per system. The Femtogrid Solar System is certified for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom and is now available via our dealers.
